What went right today? That might be easier to explain. We had good coffee. That was about it.

This morning I woke up in the early hours because Jack smacked me. He was caressing my shoulder in his sleep and when he went to roll over he forgot he had a hand on my shoulder and it flopped across my chest but since he’s a big guy with big hands, it was a slap. Ouch.

There wasn’t enough bread thawed out to make everyone sandwiches because someone forgot to pull more out of the freezer after making everyone sandwiches yesterday. This big guy shall remain nameless. But this big guy also didn’t get a sandwich for lunch. On top of that, said big guy left his lunch box at work.. so he had to brown bag it.

One of the boys spilled rice crispies all over the floor and the good broom went hiding from the mess, so he had to use the old smaller broom. The youngest boys lunch box went missing but after lots of search and an impromptu closet cleaning it was found.

Both of my oldest kids missed the bus today. That’s right…. BOTH of them. So the nameless big guy took one and I’m about to pack up all the kids to take the other.

It’s not even 8 AM yet.
