….and growing….and growing. You’d think with my not working a full time job anymore, the To-Do list would shrink. But nooo. I keep finding more and more things to do! With more time on my hands, I notice more things around the house that I’d like to do. This is actually a good thing.

One of those things we need to get done is finishing Jack’s music room. It’s actually one of the closets in the boys’ bedroom, but since it’s not a normal sized closet (it’s huge) it will work great if he can organize it and put the right shelves up to keep everything neat and tidy. We’ve been here since February and we haven’t touched it at all. All the musical stuff is still in boxes! (Actually, a lot of our stuff is still in boxes…) Part of the problem is we don’t have the right furniture to start setting things up. We have some nice cabinets we took from the old house but before he can put those up we need the right desk. We’ve been looking at office desks to find just the right one. Once we get that, I think it will be smooth sailing. The desk has to be small, yet able to store a lot; all his CD’s, drawers for cables, his music computer, etc. And it’s been a challenge to find just the right thing.

So that’s one thing on our list. There’s a ton more, like painting Melissa’s room. It’s a hideous orange and gray themed room. With her bright purple/pink butterfly theme, you can imagine what an eyesore it is.

The list goes on an on. And for the first time since I stopped working, I’m truly seeing the benefits of having me home and not working around the clock. I can actually get some of this stuff done!
