Thirteen Things my Husband Will NOT be Getting For His Birthday

1. A drum set. I know I said it in my last post, but seriously… No.
2. A trip to Hawaii. I wish I could get him this, though. He did it for me! *sigh*
3. One of those do-it-yourself steel buildings. As much as he wants to build himself a shop/shed and would love something like this, I don’t think it would go with the house.
4. Jewelry. He’s just not that much of a jewelry wearing guy. He does wear an earring, and he used to wear a necklace, but I tossed that into the ocean (long story).
5. Computer parts. He got me computer parts for my birthday once. It was a computer case I had been admiring. But he’s pickier than I am when it comes to that stuff and I’d likely get something that wasn’t compatible anyway.
6. Guitars. He’d say he would LOVE another guitar. But I’ve done that twice now. One year I got him an acoustic and another year I got him a backpack guitar (a Martin even).
7. CD’s. Apparently I have totally lost track of who has what CD around here. I gave my daughter a CD for her birthday.. the same one I gave to her on her LAST birthday. OOPS. Luckily we were able to exchange it but I’m traumatized.
8. A new cell phone. Those of you who know him, knows why. If you don’t, you must read the story.
9. Blueberry Muffins. If you know Cody, you’ll know why his dad wouldn’t want blueberry muffins on his birthday. Otherwise you might want to read that story too.
10. A trip to the Malibu Raceway in Beaverton. Last time he went the exhaust from the race cars made him sick.
11. A whale watching cruise at the beach. As much as *I* would enjoy that, and have in the past, I will spare you the details and just say that Jack does much better on land.
12. Starcraft II. But that’s only because it’s not out yet. Darnit, Blizzard. Hurry up!
13. Wicker furniture. Again, those who know Jack will know why.
