Continuing with the birthday/gift idea theme I seem to have going this week; Jack’s birthday is coming up in just under a month. We’ve been together 13 years now and it’s starting to get hard to think of something unique and special to get him every year. For Father’s Day, Christmas, and Birthdays in the past I’ve got him musical equipment such as guitars, mixers, guitar accessories. I’ve gotten him tools, clothing, movies, music CD’s and an MP3 player. One year for Christmas I got him an old Ford Pickup truck including a few truck accessories. That was probably one of his favorite and most used gifts (besides his guitars and MP3 player). He wanted a truck so bad that he could haul stuff around in, take trips to the dump, etc. It gets hard to top that.

This year I’m stumped. He has so many projects he works on. From musical projects to woodworking. My oldest son has given me a few ideas for this year. But I’m the kind of person who likes to give things that are meaningful. If I pick out a movie or CD it’s got to be something I know he’ll go, “OMG OMG OMG!” when he sees it or it will have some sort of special meaning to the two of us. He wants a drum set (I swear he’s like having another teenager in the house at times) but I have NO idea where we’d put it or even where to begin to find something like that we could afford. Ugh. What to get for the guy who has a little of *everything*?!?
