Have you filed your taxes yet? Well??

We did. But there’s nothing like waiting till the last minute. I have had both printers going trying to get them done. I finally realized I was going about it all wrong, though.

I have to amend our taxes for 2004 through 2006. I have no idea how to do it and have been stressing the heck out over it. I have known this since February and being the procrastinator I am, I never got around to calling a professional. Then life blew up in our faces and even though it was somewhere in the back of my head, I kept on procrastinating. (I can’t lie and say I totally forgot, because I didn’t, I just …spaced it… which isn’t the same. No, it’s not!)

So here it is last minute and I’m scrambling to file 2007 taxes while fretting over the amendments and spent hours doing so only to realize I CAN take it one step at a time. File 2007 on time, then find someone to do the amendments at another time. DUH. I don’t know why I thought I had to do them all by today.
