The robot from GE just called again to tell me we were next in line for our appointment. (Guess that means we're first for the day since it's only 7:30 and the appointment was between 8 AM and Noon.)

They did the pet spiel again and said that having pets around can delay the service call. LOL that just cracks me up.

And while I do understand where they are coming from, and I will keep my big dogs outside because I know they'd be curious about the tech, it still cracks me up. I'm not putting ratdog anywhere (she really could care less about strangers) nor am I boxing up my cats.

jeeez, you don't know what that means? wow. lamer!

OK but seriously...
Maybe they mean stick them in a room w/ water, food and a litter box... and don't let them out until the tech is gone? This doesn't seem fair to me, but hey... what do I know, I'm just a pet lover.

TBH... Kim and I just don't care...
The way we see it, you're coming into our home... As a tech, you get paid to work in the environment (People's homes), you hopefully have insurance, and hopefully the homeowner does too, I'm sure you get benefits, and I'd hope medical coverage (included in Ontario) so suck it up, and live with it.

99% of people who come into our home, regardless of whether they're 'allergic' or 'just don't like cats, or dogs... (not applicable to us any longer)' they always manage to deal, and I am sure even fall a little bit in love w/ our 4 four-legged family members.

I can't imagine having the zoo you have though, because "proper" (what ever that means) pet "storage" as it were, would be a tough job to manage.

I do not envy you.

Know the feeling Tracie. We got the same thing when the installer from Lowes showed up to install the dishwasher we bought.

He wanted to know if we had any indoor pets. I said "Yes, a small dog." He then asked if he bites. I told him "Only if you do a lousy job of installing the dishwasher!" :)

Ya know what? That's the best looking installation I've ever seen. LOL

Puck (our dog) stayed his distance in the living room behind a child-gate (for our grandkids) but that installer just kept thinking about what I told him I guess. Oh well, we did keep Puck away from him. ;)
