I was updating our finances and paying bills just now and discovered we were going to be way short this month. I went over the figures again and again and totally flipped out. Not only did we not have enough to make the house payment for October, but we would be short on some of the other bills. I called Jack in a panic and he reminded me he got paid today. I totally forgot to enter that in. Just call me a dork. Whew!

It’s a good thing too because we need to work into our budget a light fixture for our office. The office is actually supposed to be a formal dining room and it had this beautiful low-hanging chandelier in it meant to go over a dining room table. Jack bumped his head on it…. oh… about 10 times the day we moved in so that came down within a couple hours after we started to move our stuff into the house. So we just have an exposed fixture on the ceiling. I’ve been looking at quoizel lighting. We don’t need anything fancy.. just something that will light up the room. And of course the biggest criteria is that it’s small enough Jack doesn’t land himself in the hospital with a concussion.
