Jack and I have talked about our future vacations recently. At one time we had some big plans. With us cutting back with our finances, we have had to shift gears a bit. There are a lot of places I’d love to visit that are likely out of our reach now; Scotland, England, Italy. One thing we’ve always wanted to do was to go on a cruise for our 10th wedding anniversary. I’ve also always been intrigued by Mexico and know a few people who drive down there and have a blast every year.

One thing I did NOT know is that if we were to drive down to Mexico instead of fly, we’d need Mexican Car Insurance. Apparently getting into a car accident there is pretty bad, and your normal car insurance would not cover any of the damages. We certainly don’t plan on getting into an accident should we ever decide to take a road trip to Mexico, but you just never know. I was reading this article, Is Your Mexican Vacation Covered? and it explained a lot.

This is just another reason why I love the internet. In the days before all this information was available with a few clicks of a mouse, we would never have known this or even thought about it, let alone be able to actually purchase Mexican auto insurance from our very own home.
