The medical symbol and all of the medical information is still clear (although the red wore off of the symbol). Might be less expensive, might not. Personally I tend to favor titanium because it is very strong, but also very light. I almost went with a platinum wedding ring until I felt the weight and thought of banging on the keyboard with it all day. Ended up with titanium that looked exactly the same but still (several years later) have to look to make sure it hasn't fallen often.
