LOL GMTurner. All my jewelry is gold so titanium would stand out. Of course, given the purpose of the bracelet, that may not be a bad thing.

yeah, it's got that silver color to it... same with titanium, but admit that I tend not to focus so much on the appearance/look... hazard of the Y chromosome I guess :)

GMTurner, isn't platinum silver colored? I'm a gold person. :)

Lorelei, I have an ID card in my wallet too.

Cathy, even your stainless steel one is nicer than mine. I think the stainless steel one I have cost $5.00. ;)

I have one of those ugly-and-clunky-but-functional stainless steel ones. The medical symbol and all of the medical information is still clear (although the red wore off of the symbol).
It is not pretty but functional but hey, Shae likes it. lol

I carry an ID card with my info in my wallet. Of course there's no guarantee your wallet will always be with you... You'll be wearing it forever so I'd say the $400 will be a good investment.

Another option might be to get a gold Medical ID tag and then find a different band to attach it to. Might be less expensive, might not. Personally I tend to favor titanium because it is very strong, but also very light. I almost went with a platinum wedding ring until I felt the weight and thought of banging on the keyboard with it all day. Ended up with titanium that looked exactly the same but still (several years later) have to look to make sure it hasn't fallen often. I also now have a titanium watch which I frequently forget is on my wrist because it's so light... also, the platinum ring was several hundred dollars (possibly a couple of thousand?) but the platinum was around $100... can you tell I'm a fan of titanium? :)
