Saw this at Twinfinite Chaos and since I’ve been way to busy to actually take some time and post stuff on my mind, I’m cheating with this meme.

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate. I didn’t like egg nog as a child, but it’s grown on me over the years. A little rum and nutmeg is good in it, but if I had to pick only one, it’d be hot chocolate.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa wraps everything. He used to even wrap the stocking stuffers but this year he told me he was doing away with that tradition.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? The house is outlined in white with color to accent. The tree is colored. Here’s how we decorated this year:

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No.

5. When do you put your decorations up? Always the weekend after Thanksgiving.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Stuffing!

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? I have fond memories of spending Christmas at my nana’s house wearing pajamas she made for me. She made some every year for my brother, sister, and cousins too. We all matched and I’m sure we were adorable. And I fondly remember the year my mom gave me the leather jacket I so longed for. I know she worked hard to get it and it was such a surprise!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? The truth? What truth? Is he gay or something???

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Yes. Then we go to bed really early *cough* so we can get up really early to see what Santa brought.

10. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him? Santa actually prefers fudge. He does! He really does!

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it. Don’t get enough of it.

12. Can you ice skate? Sorta. I took lessons as a child. Haven’t ice-skated in years so, I honestly don’t know anymore.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Oops. I guess I already sorta answered this. It would be the leather jacket my mom got that year, and of course the year I got a nice bicycle.

14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Time spent with family for sure.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Sugar cookies, fudge, and pie!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Decorating the tree and putting up lights. I love the joy I see on my children’s faces when we light up the house.

17. What tops your tree? The angel my husband and I bought the first year we were together for Christmas.

18. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving? Giving. Unless I have to get something for someone I have never met. J’s family draws names, and this year I got one of his family members that I know NOTHING about. J’s no help, either since he barely knows her

19. What is your favorite Christmas Carol? “Let it Snow!” or “Winter Wonderland” or “Silver Bells” .. ack, I love them all but those are definitely at the top of favorite Christmas carols list.
