My mom loves wine. As such, when I received the opportunity to try out some wine for one of the popular wine clubs, I jumped at the chance. Years ago she gave us beautiful wine glasses with a bottle of wine so I thought this would be an awesome gift idea for her in return. I wasn’t disappointed.

This picture above is of one of the wines, the newsletter, and the wine glasses my mother gave us. We got a gift pack with two bottles of wines, the newsletter, a personalized gift card, and order forms. We had our first bottle of Merlot with fettuccine alfredo with Italian meatballs. The Merlot is somewhat sweet (I prefer sweet wines) and I think it would have been better suited with spaghetti with a red sauce or Chicken Parmesan. But we enjoyed it nonetheless. The next bottle was a Cabernet Sauvignon which would also compliment a red meat dish. This was my favorite of the two.

We are not wine experts but we enjoy a bottle of wine now and then, especially on special occasions. Were pretty impressed with this gift idea and even though my mother is the wine expert in the family, I am betting she’d really like this for Christmas.
