Crazy Weather Day
Rain, hail, wind, sun. This kind of weather wreaks havok on my sinuses and I get headachy. I have no idea if it’s the varying pressure or what, but I’d prefer Mother Nature pick something and stick with it. Instead she has a sick sense of humor as indicated by this weather special statement I got in my email a bit ago:
…Possible tornado near Hubbard early this afternoon…
News reports indicate that a possible tornado touched down near Hubbard around 130 PM this afternoon…and destroyed three green houses. The air mass over southwest Washington and northwest Oregon is very unstable this afternoon in the wake of a strong Pacific cold front that moved through early today. In combination with the strong jet stream over the area…this pattern has been a favorable one to produce a funnel cloud or a tornado in the past.
I have no idea where Hubbard is. I think it’s in Oregon somewhere. Wikipedia to the rescue. Hubbard is a tiny little town in Oregon.
We live in a pretty mild area weather-wise, so this kind of stuff is Big News around here.
