Bogeyman thanks me

Remember Mr. ax murderer rapist bogeyman? I got a handwritten thank you card in the mail from him today. It says:

Dear Tracie,

Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself and my firm to you. I appreciate the time you spent with me. When I can be of service to you, please let me know.

Thanks Again,
Mr. ax murderer rapist bogeyman

It included a business card with his picture. Time I spent with him? It was like 30 seconds. Maybe 60 seconds. He only was able to tell me he was from an investment firm before I shut the door in his face. I am not sure whether I should be impressed with his thoughtfulness considering how I barely gave him the time of day, or feel sorry for him that he’s so desperate for business he’d send me a thank you card despite my very clear message of not being interested, or freaked out that he could be stalking me. Another possibility is someone on my street did speak with him and he was mistaken about who.

The part that freaks me out is he addressed both the envelope and the card to me personally, by name (he even spelled it right, which is pretty amazing considering people in my own family forget how to spell my name). So he obviously did some research on who lived here before (or after) he showed up on my doorstep. Not that it’s hard to do once you have an address… but still. Kinda freaky.

  1. I’d feel sorry for him. He’s obviously desperate.
